The Function House (Grigorie M. Grigoriu House)

Grigorie G. Grigoriu house is one of the best architectonic achievements of Adolf Linz, the one who designed the biggest part of Constanța at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. The immobile is a typical residence for the reach trader class of the city, the owner Grigorie. M. Grigore being the president of the Room of Trading and Industry of Constanța before 1916 and first aide of the mayor at different points in the 1913-1920 period. The house is built in a neoclassical style, with eclectic elements on the roof, it includes a semi-basment, a ground floor and an upper floor, the two bodies being perfectly symmetrical and united, in a perfectly rectangular corner on one side of the residence decorated with one of the two balconies, with embroidered hardware. The Griogrie M. Grigoriu house is one of the few excellently preserved residences of the old rich armenian community of Constanța.
