Two House Ensemble, George Enescu Street no. 6-8

Very bad general condition. Very deteriorated, unkept, modifications have been made to the facades. However, almost all of the architectural elements with which they were built are preserved. They are not part of the tourist circuit.

Two private immobiles, living spaces, absolutely identical in shape and dimensions. The buildings are made in the Art nouveau style, with extensive outside decorations which serve to show the value of the main buildings and the corners.

Also, rich decorative elements frame the massive, tall buildings and a flushed decorative waist is found along the length of the entire facade of each house. One may enter the houses through massive, monumental doors, with stairways, facing a platform.

They are immobiles built by rich bourgeois families, who found business success in the sea shore city, which was in a full on economical, financial and urbanistic expansion period at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.
