Initially, the Ecstasy statue of Constantin Baraschi (1902-1966), important Romanian sculptor, was placed down in 1962, in a water basin the Perla Complex area in Mamaia, during the period in which the communist regime launched an ample program of urbanistic and architectural improvement for the seaside. The statue was moved in the 2000’s to the park in front of the Oleg Danovski National Opera and Ballet Theater of Constanța, on Tomis Boulevard.
