Faun and Nymph Statuary

Good general condition.
  • Historic monument B, code CT -III – m – B -02931;
  • Located in the park in front of the Oleg Danovski Opera and Ballet National Theater of Constanța;
  • Made out of marble, in 1964, by the sculptor Constantin Baraschi;

Located on one of the most important and old arteries of the city, Tomis Boulevard, the Faun and Nymph Statuary (sometimes named Satyr and Nymph) it belongs to Constantin Baraschi (1902-1966), an important Romanian sculptor. The monument is placed on a pedestal, in the middle of a water basin.

Another variant of this statuary, made out of bronze, used to exist, located in Mamaia, but it disappeared.
