Home for Retirment and Help of the Office Clerks of the Bank of Scont, Constanța branch

Bad general condition. The building is degraded, rehabilitation works have been done on it ( such as building over the side entrances facing Nicolae Titluescu Street), the facade is degraded and modified.

  • It is located in the old town of Constanța, on Nicolae Titulescu Street, no. 17.

The building of the house for retirement and help of the office clerks of the Bank of Scont is one of the representative immobiles from the point of view of the utilitarian mission for the period around the year 1900. The Bank of Scont, immobile built by the french photographer Anatole Magrin, had its headquarters on the same street, in the immobile with the number 32. The building is composed of two bodies of rooms and apartments, united, with a ground floor and two upper floors, in a clean neoclassical style. The narrow windows have specific triangular frames, the classical elements being suspected for the entrances of the immobile as well.
